Found One Half Brother
In October 1969, a little boy was born to a 16 year old mother, who was forced to give him up for adoption by over-crowding, lack of money and parental insistence. She was heart-broken, but went on to marry and have 3 more children. 22 years later, she told her 18 year old daughter about him and asked for her help in tracking him down. The search was long and fruitless.
24 years later, out of the blue, that little boy, now 47, with a different name and a family of his own, made contact with his birth mother. He'd always known he was adopted, and he'd always known the name of his birth mother and the reason for his being adopted.
What amazing adoptive parents he must have had.
Thank you for sharing this. My father was adopted. I am so grateful that his adoptive parents finally told him that the Aunt that
used to visit, was actually his mother. I have a few pictures of
my father with his mother. I have researched his adopted line (I use
those terms to keep the families separate) and his birth line. I
feel blessed to be connected to both lines.
I see so many people are looking for "lost relatives" and it is so
touching to hear the reunion of parent/s to children, or siblings to
siblings, etc.
Yes, those are amazing parents.
