I've been doing both traditional genealogy (paper trail) and genetic genealogy (dna testing) since 2017.
I have a fairly extensive tree on Ancestry and copies of it on some other subscription service sites and Wiki.

My Paternal line was from Timaru, recent surnames included SHILLITO, SAUL, HEMSWORTH, STUCK, PAULIN, HALL, MOHR

My Maternal line was from Dunedin, recent surnames included MCLAREN, MULLAN, EDWARDS, GURNEY/WATSON, SIMMONS, LEONARD
