George Gathergood Born Sussex England 1800 S Caroline Mclean of Ballan Ballarat Vic 1800 S
George came out to Australia at the age of 20 from Holland on a working holiday. He served with General Gordon in Egypt and also served in the Boer and Crimean wars. After wars he worked in Kalgoorlie laying water pipes then took work wherever he could find it eventually settling in Melbourne where h met and married Caroline McLean. I would appreciate any info regarding families and births, marriages, deaths etc. I thank you in advance for any assistance given.

Did a few record searches today and compiled a family record for George GATHERGOOD and Carol MCLEAN married in 1889. If you enter the name GATHERGOOD in search box in top right hand corner above and click search you will find my journal.
