Was he Lieut. George Slater 1825-1869 an instructor in the South Australian Volunteers ?

If I do have death information I can't find it at the moment. I don't have the certificates but I shall investigate this line.
However, I do believe you have identified his son William Ryder Slater. Thank you!
Being a lieut instructor also sounds familiar to me but what is a Lieut. instructor in the South Australian Volunteers? Is it army?
