gertrude davis/nellie dale

Journal by patsylawton

my story for gertrude davis is my kids grandma's sister is kathleen louise brown curliss. aunt k was born in los angeles at the childrens society in august of 1938 to gertrude davis and a gentleman by the last name of brown if anyone knows anything about this that they can assist me with information as aunt k has discussed wanting to find out where she is from.

my story for nellie dale is my kids greatgrandfathers mother was nellie dale as was determined when she passed away at the age of 24 in san antonio texas from injuries she suffered when she was thrown from a carriage when it was sppoked by gunfire in march of 1889. when whoever went through her things at the time of her death they had determined she had the last name of dale and not howard although howard was in her obituary as her name. in 1880 she was living at the j w thompson theater where it was stated she was an actress. we have no pictures of either of these wonderful ladies. please help us in anything you might know. we have done a dna test to try to see if any of the people matched the dna taken for howard or dale , they did. so we are hoping that this will bring our family solace after 100 years of not knowing.the name listed on jasper howard lawton's birth certificate is b f lawton, who was supposed to be with nellie howard in 1885 when opa lawton was born. God Bless and thank you for anything you might be able to help with.
