Does anyone have any information concerning the parents and descendants of George Washington Carmichael?
His parents were Thomas Carmichael and his wife, Mary Ann Ward that were married in Walton County, Georgia; some time
after the death of Mr. Carmichael, his widow, Mary Ann Ward married William Morris Webb; my descent is from one of their sons.
This past year, I have conducted some research of the Ward Family, as our forbear, Benjamin Ward, the father of Mary Ann Ward,
Mr.Ward may have been a native of Chowan County or Onslow County, North Carolina; this genealogy entails that of the Byrd Family
of Henrico County, Virginia. Captain Seth Ward was an early forbear of my Ward Family of Chowan and Onslow Counties of North Carolina.

Mary Ann Ward married William Morris Webb Oct. 1850., they had at least 3 sons & 1 daughter but not much else can I find, sorry. George Washington Carmichael I found had a Confederate Pensions as attatched.
