Gould of Somerset
Looking for origins of Philip GOULD b.C1809 Parents: Philip & Sarah GOULD of TAUNTON(?) Somerset, Transported Convict shipped at 16 yrs. old to Australia 1825. We have his Court and Transportation Papers inc. Onboard-Voyage details plus his Life thereafter. Only his short history and theirs remain beyond knowing he was a CARTER in TAUNTON from C1813. One possible link established but, looks like a removed Family so far despite generosity in detail. Anyone of this Ilk can point us or, other keen Souls please? Grateful!

You "have his life thereafter" so I assume you have his marriage as: 13 Feb 1841 in St. Andrews Parish, Sydney, Cumberland County, New South Wales, to Clara Dollman.
If he was a carter in Taunton from 1813 he was working from aged 4 years? No wonder he turned to crime!!
According to the 1841 census there is a Philip GOULD, (aged 60, born 1781 in Somerset,) at Taunton Union Workhouse, St Mary Magdalen, Taunton, Somersetshire (RG number:HO107 Piece: 972 Book/Folio:7/45 Page:2
Could this be your convict's father?
Good luck..............
Appreciated MH!
