I have followed back my line to Somerset, Maryland 1680-1830. They were in the area of Berlin, MD in 1830 when they left for Franklin County, Ohio. Maryland Archives documents the family of Jane Gray as a widow or alone coming to Maryland around 1670 with her children James, Joseph, Elizabeth and Mary or Mary Ann. It also showers they received land of 300 acres in MD which went to her then husband Thomas Jones. Joseph and James are awarded 600 acres in Somerset, Maryland, 1678, called "Wing" and located at Snow Hill. I have not been able to work back to England. I know for certain their father and Jane's husband's name was Thomas.
Really at brick wall so help would be deeply appreciated. At a loss currently. Do have more information on WikiTree.
