Great Grandparents

My great grandfather passed away before I ever met him. My mom and grandmother always talk about him like he was a god. I want to know what he was really like, what he did for a living, and anything he contributed to while he was still around. If you have any information on Fred Thompson please contact me.

What time frame was Fred alive? You could try census's, war records etc.
Doing a search in www.ancestry.com there are around 50 Fred Thompsons from 1910-1930 census's, 14 in 1900 census. Living in Alabama. Plus alot of other different records. If you know the year he was born it would help.
Also www.rootschat.com are very helpful with look ups and advice.
