My Grandfather - Cyril George Gulliford b.22/12/1914. d. July 1975 at Norton Stourbridge West Midlands.

Cyril George Gulliford's parents were Wilfred Carey Gulliford. b.1889. d.1961 Bournemouth. Mother - Winifred F Roberts. b.1893. d.1968 Bournemouth. Cyril had 2 brothers - Douglas Arthur and James W, and 1 sister Margaret C.

Wilfred Carey Gulliford's father was George Gulliford b. 1849 Wincanton Somerset d. 09/12/1903 Kingsdon Somerset. He married Lydia Vincent in 1877 at Langport Somerset. Lydia was b. 1850. d. 1902 Kingson Somerset. The couple had 7 children together.

The father of George Gulliford was Silas Gulliford. Baptised April 1802 at Sparkford St Mary's Magdalene. His parents were John and Peggy (research on going).

Silas married (1) Jane Raymond of Queen Carmel Somerset 12/08/1825. Jane was b. 1802 d. 1830 (the couple had two children William b. 1826 and Mary Ann b and d 1829.)

Married (2) Sarah White Carey (b.1809 Castle Cary Somerset. d.1875 Sparkford) at St Mary's Magdalene, Sparkford on 05/08/1832 the couple had 7 children. Their grave is still evident in the churchyard at St. Mary Magdalene to the left as you enter the church.
