Richard Hall bp 1845, I am his gr granddaughter.
Richard Hall immigrated to New Zealand, married Fanny Fleming. Lived in Waimate, South Canterbury, where they brought up a wonderful artistic family. Would love to hear form anyone else who belongs to this family.

by nancy_mary16 on 2014-02-28 05:08:01

Richard Hall also had another brother not listed called Thomas who also came to New Zealand and settled in Christchurch.

by jacksprat on 2016-04-01 04:33:37

Thomas was my gr Grandfather. He was born 14 Oct 1849 at Madron, Penzance and came to settle in Christchurch, New Zealand, I believe on the vessel 'Wanganui'. He married Eliza Eddy in1876 (also of Cornwell). Thomas died 2 June 1934. Eliza Their children were John (my grandfather), and Albert. I suspect there other siblings too. Still working on this. I believe they were also known as either Hall-White or White-Hall. Please follow this link for some more information on Richard and Thomas. http://www.clangregor.com/forums/topic/white-hall-white-family-waimate-new-zealand/

I correct myself, information from I have found via the West Penwith Resources, Madron & Penzance Baptisms 1756–1888, it appears that Thomas was Baptised on 14 Oct 1849, not born on this date.

I am a bit intrigued if Thomas Hall was your gr grandfather and John was your grandfather. I have no record of there being a son born to Thomas and Eliza Hall. It doesn't mean that there wasn't a son John. The family I have is Albert b 1890, Lilian b 1892, Richard Hall- no date perhaps this should be John, Ruby Violet Hall, and William Hall???? I am in the process of updating this tree as another brother John came to NZ early 1870's. Please tell me more- Nancy
