Hargraves of Russell Nz

edmondsallan - hello - Last time we were going to do a journal on the "Hargraves " family ,we found in the ' Frozen Data ' a note on spelling/ misallocation / different Family in the ( LDS ) computer records now on line . An explanation is warranted to the readers of these " Journals "
The basics - ??? - that wrong is that their is two ( 2 ) seperate families . One families name is spelt " HARGRAVES " and they settled in NZ " Russell , Bay of Islands " The other way the name is spelt is
" Hargreaves " ( Doesn't even look the same -- sheer lack of concentration !!!) This latter family settled in early NZ about the same time , some even travelled on the same vessel as the First family , however they carried on to settle in the "Wellington / Nelson " area . What someone did was to apply the different spelling up North in Russell to a completely different family . If you are doing research / tracing / searching / etc may I respectfully suggest , be very careful . I have not traced all the Families from The " Russell " settlers who have been given the honour of being recorded wrongly in name in the largest on line ancestry records in the world . --- Lets get on with the the real family of " Hargraves "
