Has Anyone Any Information on the Mates from Wicklow Ireland

My mother was a Mates and I go back to Samuel MAtes who married Ellen Minorgan and they had three children Richard, James and Mary (Marianne) but I can not find information on them. I would appreciate some help if I can get it, Even a snippet of info.
