Has anyone found parents of Wilson O'Bryant?

Journal by debmc

I have been researching for the past couple of years and have not found who Wilson O'Bryant's(b.1798 d. about 1870) parents are from Cork, Ireland. Wilson lived in Georgia, Illinois, Arkansas and finally came to Texas in a covered wagon with his wife, Meley, their children and other families to the Sabinal (Bandera, Utopia, Uvalde) area of Texas (Southwest of San Antonio) in the 1850s. Wilson is my 4th ggrandfather. One of his sons, John Wesley O'Bryant was in the 2nd Texas Mounted Rifles of the Confederate Cavalry and was killed at either Ft. Stockton, Ft Davis,Ft Lancaster or in those surrounding areas of Texas or Eastern New Mexico in the spring of 1862. I don't know where John W is buried but plan to research that information further at the Texas Archives and Library in the coming months. John Wesley O'Bryant was my 3rd great grandfather, and was married and had one son, John Wesley Bryant. John W Bryant lived in the Mineral Wells - Palo Pinto County was married and had children, including a son who was my grandfather, John James Bryant. John James Bryant is the father of my mother, Wilma, who was one of 11 surviving children that lived in the Pettit, Texas area. If you have photos or more information for John Wesley, Wilson, or his parents, etc. I would love to hear from you. dmc
