I am researching the Hastings family beginning with my 3rd great grandfather, Hezekiah N. Hastings, born in South Carolina and died in Bell County, Texas. 1818-1892. He married Permelia J. Powell, both are buried in the Little River, Wilson Valley Cemetery. Their son, John Patton Hastings, my 2nd great grandfather, born in Mississippi, died in Carbon, Eastland County, Texas. He and his 2nd wife, Mary 'Mollie' Louise Welch are buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Eastland County, Texas. John Patton Hastings first wife, A. Ella Wilson, is my 2nd great grandmother. I descend from his first marriage to A. Ella Wilson, their daughter, Edna Rosetta Hastings-Woodall, is my great grandmother, and Edna's daughter Emma Anise Woodall-Shugart is my grandmother, and Emma's daughter, Lona Belle Shugart-English-Daniels is my mother. I am seeking any information on this line to add to my genealogy lineage of my Hastings family line. Most specifically, A. Ella Wilson-Hastings who died when her and John Patton were living in Lafayette County, Mississippi.
