I have been doing my my history for 35 years, on both sides of my family. So
far I have done very good at finding my ancestory's. Now I have ran into a couple of brick walls.

First looking for my 2nd great grandmother Mary Edwards Hatley. Born around
1820 in around Chatham County North Carolina. Trying to find who her parents
were. Her middle name is Edwards, which I take it as her mother maiden name was
Edwards. Just a thought. I have a marriage record and a Civil War Pension
record stating this is her name. Mary married Goodman Ellis on Dec. 30 1842 in
Chatham County North Carolina. But can't find a record for them.

Second: Looking for my 3rd great grandmother Mary Halliday. Born around 1799
or 1800 in North Carolina. Married John William Ellis. I have my grand mothers
diary stating Mary and John name and the story of why left North Caroline and
moved to Alabama. But from what I see when John Ellis died he was taken back to
North Carolina to be buried. Looking to find who her parents were.
Any information would be helfull.
