Hello I M Looking for Any and All Information on Maria Hohepa Nowland Born Smith Particularly Information on Her Mother S Side

All we know is that she was born on the 5th February 1885 in Whakatane, married Alfred Ernest Nowland, and died on November 16th in 1928. Any additonal information would be greatly appreciated, particularly information on her parents, possibly Mary McKay (or Mackay) and Joseph Smith. I have found a lot on information online however I'm looking for evidence such as records or archives of births, deaths, and marriages. Thank you!
