Someone else posted a journal here about the Curreens in New Zealand in January 2010: Elizabeth CURREEN from Ireland Maybe if you contact her she will have some information
Also there is a family tree here for Peter Morris Curreenn who married Mary Griffin in Ireland, had at least 6 children and then emigrated to New Zealand. Some of the places they all settled were: Wanganui, Nelson, Feilding and even down in Canterbury so hopefully you will find a connection
If you can send some names etc I will help you look
hi brooke we should be able to help with your ancestry detail as we have got screeds of information on both the curreens and the malones several generations back in ireland and much of the detail on the nz families. beryl intends to write a book when [she gets time] called the curreen irish connection. due to our irish family we have both obtained irish citizenship and hold irish passports. contact us at tcurreen@hotmail.com cheers trevor curreen kaitaia
