Apparently Josiah came out to Australia in 1878 and both he and Hannah arrived in Brisbane, Queensland and eventually moved to Bangalow in Byron Bay District in New South Wales. It seems that Josiah sailed for Australia the year of or after his Father, Joseph's death.
According to your answer here:- In 1861 Joseph was 50 therefore his birth date would be 1811 even though I have it as 1809,(the difference would depend on the month of his birth and the month of the Census.) he died 13th December 1876 aged 67.........although a relative once gave me his age being 76 at the time of his death , which I think was a simple transposition of figures, which happens.
Determining the Maiden Surname of Hannah, the wife of Josiah has been a bit of a problem which I would really like to solve. The Hannah translated as Reech was actually Reece when the earlier index document was expanded it could be read clearly, however, it may have been Rees. Hannah was born 3rd September 1846 having passed away 1912 in Bangalow, Byron Bay, New South Wales. I have been unable to verify the birth date due to the lack of knowing her real maiden name.
The other problem I have is the matter of the maiden name of Joseph Beckinsale's wife Ann, Mother of Josiah, and grandmother of John who was born in Cardiff.

The next I am looking for begins with John Beckinsale marrying Sarah Ann Powell in the March quarter of 1870 in the Church of St Illtyd, parish of Mamhilad, Pontypool Distric, Wales. This church was apparently built in the 5th or 6 th Century. The Eastern wall Stained glass Windows were installed the year before......So it must have been quite a "treat". They had a daughter, Sarah Ann Beckinsale who was born 15th March 1884 in Paddington, New South Wales, and married Charles Frederick William Bell 7th November 1908 at her home in Oxford Street, Woollahara, New South Wales. Sarah died 20th August 1946in NSW, and CFW died 8th April 1970 in Parkville Victoria, Australia. He was born 27th May 1884 in Parkside South Australia. An only child. My problem here is to trace back Charles Frederick William Bell whose family originated in Wales. (Someone once said something about the name actually being Bebb....but there is no proof.)
