Hi There, I'm tracingback my family tree and any help will be much appreciated. The information I have already is ;

My dad's name was Alan Hockenhull and he was one of 4 children, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Raymond Hockenhull, Alice & Jean. They originated from Evelyn street in St Helens.

Alan Hockenhull ( my dad ) was born in 1943

I want to trace back as far as I can in the history tree.

Regards

helo alan1 - It is touch and go on your request as most countries won't let any records go ( especially births for 100 years from the daily date ) However , you may be able to get around that by Giving out your grandfather's name . Also you need to clarify what country . As this website is world wide . Just to be helpful , their many Hockenhull's in Cheshire england . Why don't you have ago on the net to see if you can come up with any thing . Start with ( LDS family website ) They have the biggest family data system in the world. Just jump in - doesn't matter if you make mistakes - Just keep starting again . Bit like making a cuppa . the more you make - the better you get 0- Regards -edmondsallan

Good Morning Edmond, I will get some more information together over the weekend and post it out in a journal again. I know my auntie traced the tree about 10 years ago and found out the surname was Dutch in origin and that we was very strong Roman Catholics with many family members high up in the church. When Henry V111 became king the family split, with some becoming C of E. There is a high priest in Wymbumberry who is a Hockenhull and has gone a long way back with the name with the help of the church.
