Grandfather, Alford Franklin Holmes, grandmother, Judith Amanda Hattie Nelson. both born US. Married 1910. Paternal great grandparents - Marshall Wheeler Holmes, USA, married to Marie Dahl, born in Norway, immigrated 1855. Maternal great grandparent, immigrated from Denmark, Ole Nelson and Marin Peterson. Grandparents immigrated to Canada from North Gate , North Dakota. Children, Gordon, Viola, Bernice, Hazel, Marshall, Roy, Frank, Myrtle. Alford abandoned family in Canada and left with house maid, May. They had 3 so, one named Clive, others not known.
2nd great grandfather - Jerremiah Holmes, 1800 -1868 m Julie Ann Hawley, 1837-1882 - info back to 11th great grandparents on Julie Ann's side.
