James Houlahan, convict was married in Cork to Mary Stannard in 1821 before being transported to Sydney, Australia. They had a son, John,born 1822, who remained in Ireland with his mother, who died soon after. James went on to marry Mary Cagney in Singleton, NSW, australia, in 1839.
