It is family legend that he and his wife Sarah Sechrist were both full blooded Indians and dressed in full Indian dress. I have found information on Sarah Sechrist and I do not believe her to be an Indian. However I have not found much information on Alexander except he is listed on the death certificates of his children as the father and he is listed as a deceased parent on his daughter's marriage certificate. I have three children listed Wynona Mae, Robert L, and Alexander Mitchell.
