Unfortunately, this is a believe of many people. I have the wills of both Joseph Parsons of Willington, CT. and they do not show any connection to the Joseph Parsons who married Naomi Hitchcock. The will of Capt. Joseph of Willington, who married Mary Holt, list no children and leaves his assets to Mary, some nieces and nephews and an alleged adopted son. I say alleged because I am not aware of any court record ever found of the adoption.
