I Am Looking for More Info on My Fathers Side of the Family

I am looking for more info on my fathers side of the family. He left when I was 2 and I saw him for a short time in 1996 before he died 6 months later. He gave me a little information about his family but some has been tough to trace or find. He was basicly on his death bed when I visited him and I am not sure of the accuracy of the information he gave me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
