I Am Looking for My Great Grandfather Edward Turner Born About 1857 IN Worcester England His Father was William Turner but I Don T Know Who His...
His son William and daughter Mary Elizabeth Annie were born in India. One army record, that I think belongs to Edward, has him listed as Turner alias Wright. I wondered if his mother was a Wright. I found an Edward Turner in the 1861 census living with his grandmother Mary Ann Wright, but I'm not sure if its the correct Edward. Edward was known as Ted and lived in Aldershot, and later in Dartford.

Is this the correct family, do you have any idea where he was born in Worcestershire, did they marry in 20 Jul 1878 • Farnham, Surrey ?

Thank you so much. Yes this is the correct Edward, on the census it just has Worcester as his place of birth. Yes, He married Alice on 28 July 1878 in Farnham. (The Wesleyan church, Aldershot). (I have a copy of the marriage cert). My cousin in the UK ordered a birth cert and got the Edward who was born in Stourbridge. We don't think he's ours as his mother was a susannah Morris and his father was a coal miner where our Edward's father was a sergeant in the British Army. I really appreciate your help and the extra information that I can follow up on. Kind regards, Joan
