He was born on 7 October 1829 in Germany I guess in Muhlhausen which is where he met and married Eleanor Johanna Kleeberg all 4 of their children (Anna, Gottfried, Charles, and Johann Heinrich who was born, died, and was buried in Muhlhausen) were all born in Muhlhausen and he emigrated to the USA on 14 October 1867 he went through New York City, NY and wound up in Cincinnati Ohio where he lived the rest of his life dying there on 10 March 1894. His wife Eleanor and children (Anna, Gottfried, and Charles) emigrated to the USA on 2 November 1868 through New York City, NY. I believe he was married between 1844-1853 (based on his wife's birth in 1829 unsure at what age she married) and believe they wed in Muhlhausen where she was born and raised.
