23 Dec.1858 there.Her Uncle Issac Daniel read the rites.I can not locate in the 1860 census either,In 1862 Francis age 23 goes to Carlinville to join the civil war on 15 Aug,giving his post office as Scottsville Macoupin County.Illinois.He came back 4 Sept.1862 to muster in, his company marches to Trenton Tenn.and Francis is dead 31 Oct.1862 one month in the war and he dies of encephalitis from insect bites.I hunted almost 20 yrs to find this!!!Francis and Mary have 2 children Wiley M. Phillips born May 9, 1860 in Morgan Co.Illinois and sister Margaret Elizabeth Phillips born March 13,1860 in Morgan County Illinois. My poor Francis has no grave he was buried in a "mound"that kills my soul. I don't know anything else about him,Im hoping that some Phillips family is missing him and wanting to know about his family,Im open to any ideas or Phillips.
