I Am Searching for Information of John Harmon
I am still searching for information of my husbands gt grandfather, John Harmon b in PA. I have found one source stating where a John Harmon was b 1801 in Harmon Run, Beaver Co., PA. His wife was Hannah ?. Hannah was born 1813 in Ohio.
John was s/o Conrad Harmon b 1748 d 9 Jun 1823 in Ohio. Married to Christina Partridge b 1760 d AFT 1823.
My question; If this John and Hannah had a son John b 11 Aug 1841 in PA. This could be my line. Our John Harmon was married to Mary Ann Selix b 1841.
Does any one have the answer to this puzzle?
Thanking you in advance.
Hello Maxineo6. I am not sure But you may be confusing yourself . some dates you havs may be not correct / or correct . I went from Ohio and then to Pensylvania in search of something to stabilize this on going enquirey This is what I found - It may be correct or in correct I could not find the son you mentioned in my very brief research . we have the following
John Franklin Harman / harmon F- george Harmon -M- catharina ???
Born either 1815 or 12th may 1801 Both of PA
Marriages - possible ( 3 )
Hannah Stevens -m- 19th Dec 1822( if this correct then John would have to be born in the earlier ---- 1801 He would be ( 21 ) anything else as you can see would be out of the question
Hannah Kerst - 10th june 1858 ( both this one and the other are from Ohio. It also would mean Possibly the later date ?? 1815 and i have my doubts on this date
Hannah Barnhart -m- 1850 - b- 1831 - westmoreland PA This would also need to be the later date which i doubt is correct . I could not find the son you mentioned > That doesn't mean he isn't their on the records The time I allowed was up . Although taken from the > familysearch.org website . Something isn't right . you can sense it
It's those dates --Proof is lacking all the way - Iwould try to chop it to pierces and try to rebuild it . Their is something but not all

Hello: Is your name Edmund? I really appreciate your help. Seems like not many of the Harmon clan do any searching for their ancestors. I am finding John Harmons but seems like the dates don't seem to match for what I have and know are facts, from family records. Some John Harmon
had a son named King Emmanuel Harmon, b 11 Aug 1841 in Ohio. I do have in my possession the death cert. for King Emmanuel which is my husbands gt grandfather. On that piece of record it states King Emmanuel was s/o John Harmon b in PA. and Mary Kuntz. I have not been able to find a birth record for King and being John's son. Some say King descendend from John, Conrad,& Boston Harmon. My research has failed to lead me to believe this to be true. I have not tried to go to a census record to see what I find there. I am old, and not too good at all this research. So really appreciate your help. Thanks again.

Hello Maxine06 . It is hard when you are getting old to push yourself to find many answers in life especially Personal ancestry . Now I am going to say a few Personal things to encourage you . Don't take them the wrong way !! I am well past the early years of eighty ( skiteing ) and Hit the day with a bang when the alarm goes off at 6 am - 7 days a week ( big deal ! ! Because I'm stupid and can hardly walk or do any physical activity ( can still drive my car - the love of my life -My independency still prevails .) Seven days a . week I take " thee cat "- hail rain or snow for about 250 metre walk . Now well known in the district . This is a killer on me . one day I will bury that cat !!! I am sometimes heard to be muttering to myself .I don't live alone . I am a living brain enclosed in an old head that drives me up the wall . Did you say you are old and it is difficult to sort it out . What else would you be doing and why are you doing it . Because you!!! want to !!! Come on now - just pick up those twinkling toes of yours . wriggle those hands , put on the glasses and hit the key board of your friend the computer _ By the way I have never seen the invisible person that is saying to us . // you are taking to long -- or Ha ! ha! you are getting old . I wish I could see them so I could hit them with a base ball bat !! Having said all that . Lets have another go - no excuses accepted - Go to --> tribalpages.com < the" harmons " have a family tree .I rarely ever talk like this to anyone on the net .and these journals is not the right place either . Old !!! old !! what in the He ~`#* does that mean !!!! Lets hit the straps and get underway - Kind regards - edmondsallan
