My name is Billy Hinson, b. 1944, Natchez, Mississippi. My father is William Hinson, b. 1910 Pike County, Mississippi. His father was John Henry, b. 1884 in Pike County Mississippi. His father was William Hinson my great grandfather born in 1812, and his second wife was Caroline Strickland, b. 1840. They had 9 children, 2 of whom died in childbirth. Their last child was my father's father, John Henry Hinson, b. 1884 in Pike County, Miss. William Hinson (b. 1812) is buried in the Hinson Cemetery in Pike County, Mississippi. His father was John Hinson, born around 1775 in South Carolina and married Nancy Northcutt, born c1784 in South Carolina. I have had no success in my endeavor to find out something about them, especially the names of their parents, their marriage and deaths.
