the family story that we do know is he was transferred to Memphis, Tennessee by the company he worked for (Dekalb?). He had to be in his early 20s for he married our late grandmother, (Ethel Carter) in Memphis in 1903 when he was 24 and they had six children between 1905 and 1927. Grandfather died at 90 years old in December 1969 and is buried in Memphis. Grandmother died in 1940 in Memphis.
