I Am Trying to Verify David Young Who Married Cecilia Fairfall S Parents

I found two entries for David and Cecilia's marriage, neither shows parents names or their ages. Have you tried looking on http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ its fee paying.

The above info is the same as I have -all I can add that on my great grandmother's death certificate ( Mary Young d. of David and Cecelia) her birthplace was Alloa Scotland. Cecelia is buried in Hokitika cemetery (Westland) but I have never been able to find where David was buried

Sorry for being so slow in replying. I have a little info on David Young. He liked to drink and fight it seems from what I have found in 'paperspast.' I have been trying to find some of the info to send you. I also have a transcription of the death of a David Young. My Mum's cousin insists he is ours but I have yet to be convinced. I am descended from John Young, Mary's young brother. Also this cousin says his parents were David and Charlotte (nee Rintoul)Young both born 1815. I have found their marriage and some of their children but not David. He and Cecilia parted not long before Cecilia died. He went to Dunedin where his son William was living. Then it is thought they went to Australia. The transcription says David Young died on 14 November 1882, in Sydney Hospital. BUT it also says there were two sons living and three sons and four daughters deceased. We know David junior died but I haven't found any record anywhere of the other births. Also says his spouse was Cecilia Farfow. In the Otago Daily Times in September 1895 there was an ad for 'Heirs Wanted' - 13 years after David died and it mentioned William, Mary and John.
