I have discovered there was a John Hall Bainbridge visiting his aunt & Uncle in Durham, UK from Ballarat Victoria when the 1881 UK census was taken.
I was born in the UK and have been in Sydney Australia for 45 years not knowing that some of my ancestors have been present in the country for many years. There are a lot of Bainbridge's in Ballarat and I am anxious to trace the lineage.
I am very much at the start of this quest and need any help I can muster!
