I M Looking for Ancestors of Porteous Family
I have a William Porteous (b. 1843). He was a Shepherd, who married Elizabeth Telfer (b. 1840) Date of marriage was 1 June 1866 and was presumably in Ayrshire, Scotland. I am looking for ancestors of this couple - I'm a bit stuck tracing this side of the family. I would appreciate any help.
