He was sentenced at the Liverpool Quarter Session in 1822 for stealing 20 yards of ribbon. He had been convicted 5 times before being transported. He eventually married another convict, Catherine Ryan in about 1845 and they had two children George Jnr and John and moved to NSW in 1853 or thereabouts.
