it was passed onto a neice that lives in NSW we have searched all information in England,and Australia even contacted another member who is related to the Lillis family but they also have no record of a Ida Lillis married or listed as her maiden name. A mystry in Australia.
Nothing located in the N.S.W. BDMs for your Ida. The deaths only go to 1981 so she may have died after '81. It's also possible this was a still birth and was not registered.
If you know the cemetery where Ida is buried I suggest a search of the cemetery records. May not tell you much but should give you the year of death or burial. If you can find the year of death someone may be able to search the newspapers for the death notice. This should give you a few more details.
Thank you through another cousin we beleive she was born about 1885. All the family were born in Outtrim Victoria. I have search most cemeteries where the family have been burried. Maybe be your right Lillis could be her married name.
Where is this cross with Ida's name on located?
LILLIS may also be Ida's married name and not her maiden name.

There were a few Ida Jane's born in Victoria around 1885, but not by the name of ILLIS.
I will have another dig tomorrow and get back to you.
