I M Researching George Wilson Wedeking My Ggreat Gfather

He had at least one daughter named Amelia b1889 d1978, they lived in Massac Co. Illinois. Amelia married a James I McDuffee in Metropolis, Il. I'm stuck on the George Wilson Wedeking, haven't been able to find him on census records or anywhere else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
