Conrad appears several times in the SA newspapers, available through Trove.nla.gov.au. Have you seen those articles? (Search for Conrad Tieste)

He is referred to as 'the late Conrad Tieste' on 15th Feb 1913 in a death notice for Selina Bradbury. She married Eli Bradbury in 1900, so he must have died before that.

There are articles about the sudden death of his 62-year-old son Conrad in March 1913, but nothing for his own death that I can find.
