Hi Kate 16. Absolutely spot on. It would appear that they had a daughter Bella, who died, and then had another daughter whom they named Bella again.
I am trying to get more information on John DONALDSON, Coal Miner, as shown in your info, because he was killed on November 13 1909, in the Cherry Mine Disaster, Cherry, Ohio, USA. It is difficult to track his movements from Kilsyth to the USA, date of passage etc. In Karen Tintori's book "TRAPPED", it shows that he died leaving a wife and three sons, named as Flenan 21, (we believe should be Fleming), John 15 and James 10. We are trying to discover if John DONALDSON went to the USA alone, leaving his wife and sons in Kilsyth. at this stage Janet (Laing) DONALDSON is not shown as his wife. Did she die? And the other children - did they die? Are you able to assist with more information. How long before the disaster had the mine been working? Arrival from Scotland is after 1901 census, therefore 1902 onward. Thanks for everything to date. Graham
