I Would Like to Find Ancestors Pre Jacob Schmidt Dob 1750

Jacob Schmidt married Christina Freimuthin from Sweden. The only child that we have on record is Michael Schmidt who is our direct descendant. He married Petronella Heynowicz. I would like to be able to go back further. Does anyone have any information regarding this?
