Indian Railways

George Jones my greatgrandfather went out to Indian pssibly around 1890 to work on building the Indian Railways and is thought to have died there. Apart from the fact that he married Mary Morgan of St Lythans, Glamorgan in 1887, his father being a John Jones I can find nothing more about him. Mary was a 'woman living on her own means' in 1891 with their two daughters so I guess George was out in India then.
Does any employee records exist for the Indian Railways?
