Approx where and when was Jeptha West born?

To the best of our Knowledge, he was born in Onslow, NC January 15, 1778. This is not an absolute but we believe that he was the youngest son of Levi West and Mary Williams who were originally from Worchester Co., MD and later moved to NC. Levi died in Onslow Co., NC on June 17, 1787. His youngest son was named Jepthah West and is shown in his will--Jepthah was born at the date shown above. Our records show that he married a full-blooded Cherokee (Mary Millie Sewachee Gentry)in about 1800, and that they had 15 children. My E-mail is hsteenbergen@synergyus1.com.
