An actual account of Alfred William Wright & Anna Maria Chard,both walked some Thirteen Miles from Helston to Madron,Cornwall pushing a Pram with Two Children. One being Irita May Chard whom was only 8Lbs instead of being at least 20Lbs in weight,and under nourished.
She died before reaching Madron Workhouse.I am trying too establish where Irita and her Mother are buried.Alfred William Wright was convicted and imprisoned for Child neglect has reported in the Saint Ives Times dated 21 Jan 1911.Anna Maria Chard was released on grounds of mercy. While Anna was at the Madron Workhouse,Alfred William Wright was released from a short stay in Prison and changed his Name and Married another Woman.
It was stated that Anna lived with Alfred William Wright no record of Marriage.It was reported that Alfred was a Idle and Lazy Man whom was convicted Twice for Stealing.
I would be grateful if anyone could throw some light on this tragic end of life for Irita May Chard.
