HI~ I have a Cornelius Wilson b. 1801 Ballinderry by Moneymore in Derry and married Sarah Clements there in 1824. I believe they were Church of Ireland.
Are you saying that I should check the records in Dublin and not in Belfast?
In South Derry where I live and which is the area you are focusing on there are quite a number of Wilson families - both Protestant and Catholic - but the forename Cornelius would have been uncommon so that may help identify. If I come across any information I feel may be relevant, I will post it.
