ISO - Thomas E Farrell, born 1845 +/- 2 years possibly in Brooklyn, NY or in the NY area. I have no parent names or sibling names. He and his family moved to New Orleans, LA in the 1850s. Thomas did enlist in the Confederate Army in 1861 and deserted in 1862, and coming to Pennsylvania sometime after 1862. He may have worked in the oil fields of northwestern Pennsylvania before settling in Central Pennsylvania where worked in a steel mill. Thomas is my great-grandfather. Please share any info or hints that may be helpful in locating records, family, or family tree genealogy.

On the Marriage cert for Mary Ann Elizabeth Haines (Byers) and Thomas E [Eugene ?] Farrell on 5th Jan 1898 it states his father's name was Bartlett Farrell but he does not know his mothers name.
If his Father was Bartlett it is not your Thomas in the census above
