James McGee, Magee was in the Bay of Islands in 1838 i do think it was the Rattlesnake. He his wife Ann McCartney and three sons Joseph, Richard and Owen Curran were on the Anna Watson in 1840 along with the Platina first ships to go into Auckland and plant the flag there.

Thank you for following up on my request for information on James McGee.
I actually have that information. I'm trying to trace further back in the family tree as to his parents names and where they came from.
