John H E Bartle's father was Edgar Francis Arthur Bartle born 1874 in Camborne Cornwall, and married Ethel Moseley in 1902 in Durban South Africa. All I have been able to track down is a parish baptism record of John Bartle and nothing more. At this point, I'm desperate for information on John Bartle who is believed to be my mother's father. All information about him, other than his name was with held from her. I believe the information on the baptism record points to the person who is very highly likely to be her father, based on his age and my grandmother's age at the time of my mother's birth (1925) and also the parish vicinity in Johannesburg. My mother's baptismal certificate does not give the name of her father and her birth certificate which materialised after she left school, is questionable. My mum is still alive and would like some closure as to her origins.
