I have had trouble finding any information regarding time in Smith County,Tennessee or before that. I can track through the 1850 census in Smith County, Tennessee to Logan County, Kentucky until his death in Jan. 1900. I have recently learned his middle initial might be A. Not a lot of information prior to Kentucky to go on.
