William Tilden Jordon was my great grandfathers brother. He enlisted in the US Army in 1910 and served in the Phillipines. He wrote letters home but the last one was postmarked in 1911 from Western Australia. He was not heard from again. I had found the burial information a couple of years ago, but could not find out anything about his wife or daughter. We were surprised to find out that he lived until 1946. Why he never wrote to his brother or sister again will always remain a mystery.

Still looking for Winnie. I'm curious because the grantee is named Winnie ANDREWS and not Winnie CROFTS so I'm thinking she was married twice. If you have any marriage details for her to ANDREWS and CROFTS it may help with further record searches.

Win and Jack Croft were still living together in 1954 I found this in The West Australian 4 May 1954 STANSFIELD (Thomas): A tribute to a sincere friend and neighbour of Win and Jack Crofts. With all of your help I have located burial records at Karrakatta Cemetery for John William Croft and Joyce Winifred Croft. I had only known her as Winnie before this. That led me to birth notices for three children born to Winnie Croft (nee Jordon or Jordan), Phillip John Croft born 1944, John Sidney Croft born 1946 and Jeffrey Douglas Croft born 1948. They may still be living, in which case I would love to be able to get in contact with them.

Lavinia was buried in WG. Unable to correct errors once submitted.
I cannot figure that out either.
Lavinia Jordon's maiden name was Andrews.
Their daughter was Winnie, but she married someone names Jack Crofts.
Makes no sense to me at all

Thank you so much. The last few years of his life, my great-grandfather had completely lost his eyesight.
It is sad that a man who enlisted in the US Army and then in the Australiam army; saw battle in both, would die being hit by a truck.
