I believe Thomas was his father. Thomas married Emma Barnfield 1831 at Buildwas Shropshire England.

I am Josephs 2nd Great grandson.

Yes Thomas was my 3xggf . I have since researched a lot. Mind you I dont know how or where I found this site when I commented back in 2016. I had only just started.
Do you have Thomas as being born in Wales??
